BRENDA COUTELLIER
The multitalented Franco-Benin designer is a former fashion model who grew up in Paris. While residing in Montreal a couple of years ago, she created the successful label "Bébé chic", an exclusive clothing line for children.

In 2013, she launched
KOTONOU, offering a selection of unique handmade pillows and accessories in limited series. Ethnic fabrics are meshed with other type of fabrics and precious ornaments are added to dress up the cushions, giving them a couture look, best described by the designer as "ethnic chic" or "vintage" style.

The Belgian designer has been fashioning great looks since 1998. The collection for women is branded JAN WELVAERT and for men NO KO BOY.

“Charivari NY”, was one of the 1st concept stores in NY to carry his line (located back then across from Bergdorf Goodman). His collections have been shown in Paris and London.

The JAN WELVAERT collections are very exclusive and some say they’re “cult” labels, but the designer believes that the garments, which are produced in Belgium, are beautiful and simple clothes made for a special kind of man or woman. I personally think they’re unique and timeless.

Should you happen to be in Gent, Belgium, You could always visit his store, on Brabantdam 61.
