KARATE FOR ALL

A couple of months ago, after hearing countless of stories from my son about fights and bully kids in his school, I decided that it was high-time for him to take a self-defense course. So I embarked on a search for a good karate studio, and was overjoyed to find out that there are myriads of them in Vienna. Some of them cater exclusively to
children and young adults, while others to all age groups and gender. After trying out two of them, we opted for SAMURAI in the 9th district. It trains both gender and age groups (little kids, teenagers and adults). Another studio recommended by a friend is Taekwondo Wien.

Karate is one of the most dynamic of all the martial arts. A trained karateka is able to coordinate mind and body perfectly, thereby allowing the unleashing of tremendous physical power at will. Upon developing this ability, even the smallest person finds that he or she has within himself or herself the power to deliver a devastating blow to any would-be attacker. In addition to defending himself,

Besides being able to defending oneself, karate has lots of other benefits – contributing to your physical and mental health is one of them. The practice of karate tones the body, develops coordination, quickens reflexes, and builds stamina. Also, the serious practice of karate develops composure, a clearer thought process, deeper insight into one's mental capabilities, and more self-confidence. When it comes to karate, age doesn’t matter.
